Cauliflower is a wonderful vegetable. It is mildly flavored and has less calories. It is an ultra healthy veggie that contains no fat and is good for the heart, brain, liver, kidneys and our entire immune system.
It's relatively inexpensive to buy and is readily available in the local markets. You can pick up a fresh cauliflower, remove the green leaves from the sides, and steam it whole or in large pieces inside your Bamboo Steamer.
In our home, we usually steam it, then dice the steamed cauliflower and add it to a hot bowl of clear soup. We make the soup out of Kanji water, adding in some chopped onions, garlic, ginger, pepper corns, green chilies and coriander leaves. Sometimes we add in pasta or noodles and few other vegetables to make the soup more wholesome and tasty.
