The Joys Of Practicing Meditation In The Dark
I am sharing with you something fantastic that I do almost every single Evening. Sometimes I do it for a few hours at a stretch.

I switch off the lights, close the windows and bedroom door, draw the curtains, switch on some soft instrumental music, and then lay down on my large double bed here in my bedroom for an hour (or more) of relaxation in the darkness of my little world here in this part of the world.

Darkness is my sacred space.

Don't curse the darkness, enjoy it. Yes, it's true.

Darkness is something to be truly enjoyed and cherished.

Lighting a candle or switching on the lights isn't the wisest thing to do when all you want is some peace, serenity, calm and relaxation.

There is nothing quite like meditating or relaxing in the dark.

Obviously, sleeping in the dark is way better than sleeping in a brightly lit bedroom. This is because our minds are designed to be at complete rest and ease in the darkness.

A wonderful daily experience that I personally indulge in is to simply lay down on my bed for an hour or more during the late Evening hours.

There are very few things in the world that can match the calm relaxation I feel when I am laying down in silence on my bed in the darkness of my bedroom.

Often I switch on some soft instrumental or classical music while I lay down in the dark.

Listening to the haunting sounds of the Piano are what makes us feel so damn good.

You can practice relaxing in the dark almost anytime of the day.

Simply close the windows and doors, draw the curtains, thus making sure that the room is dark.

I prefer the late Evening hours since at that time the room is dark automatically for most days of the year. It's also a fine time to daydream or simply relax on one's bed.

You don't even need to close your eyes while you lay down and relax in your dark room.

Simply be as comfortable as possible first and then just stare at a blank spot on the wall or space in front of you. Closing your eyes is fine too.

We can usher in a wonderful state of calmness and serenity in our homes and bedroom by practicing this relaxation exercise once or twice a day from now on.

Life is all about how happy, relaxed and comfortable we are. Millions of people find it difficult to sleep peacefully or relax well because they have a mind that isn't clear.

Many suffer from sleep disorders which cripple their ability to rest soundly during the night hours.

Practicing relaxing in the dark every day will help you have a wonderfully blissful sleep at night as well.

Make sure you wear comfortable clothes while you are relaxing in the dark since your body should be unrestricted and free.

Daydreaming in the dark is something I love to do on a daily basis.

It is common to find the windows of our home closed after Sunset since this is the time I am always laying down on my comfortable bed and daydreaming in the darkness of my bedroom.

Sometimes I invite my wife to join me in this exercise and it's super awesome to have a loving companion by my side while I relax in the comfort of the darkness around me.

Please make sure that you don't talk or discuss things during this dark relaxation period since it would defeat the entire purpose of this wonderfully simple exercise.

The time is right for you and me to head over to our beds and relax in the dark for an hour or more.
