How To Unwind On Rough And Tough Days
Who said life was fair? Certainly not me.

It's a common tendency for us to feel that life is against us when things don't go our way.

The challenges and obstacles that tend to come our way makes us think that life isn't fair. But this is simply the wrong way of looking at things.

Life is fair and unfair, shades of black and white as some say, or different colors of the rainbow as I would say.

There are ups and downs in life, good moments and not so good moments, and the challenges we face (when overcome) makes us feel that life is going our way.

Sometimes things just don't seem to go our way...

There are days when we are late for an important appointment, find ourselves in traffic, and then to make matters worse our car breaks down.

These things happen.

Traveling the highway of life can be a daunting task when all the signals are stuck on red instead of green, and when there is so much traffic that you feel like dumping your car at the side of the road and walking to the desired destination.

You might start blaming God for what's happening to you on such rough days or you might wonder why only you get affected on these days.

You find yourself feeling utterly helpless at times and everything that you do doesn't end up working in your favor.

Rough days, tough times, and long winding days filled with obstacles can drain you by the evening.

It's important that you relax completely once you reach home.

Take a long bubble bath or simply have a nice wash and fall asleep in your bedroom.

Or you can pamper yourself by massaging your shoulders, arms and legs.

Turn down the lights, switch on some soft music, close your eyes, and relax.

Life suddenly feels much better when you relax at the end of rough days.

Another wonderful way to unwind when things aren't going your way is to meditate.

Simply close your eyes, lie down, and focus on nothing at all. Just lay still and enjoy the 'nothingness' moment before your mind's eye.

Don't worry or stress yourself out while you relax and meditate. Instead focus on a beautiful place like a beach or a mountain and imagine yourself having a good time there.

Never focus on your emotions at such times.

Empty out your mind so its clear and can focus on sensing and feeling the serenity and tranquility of your home.

It's amazing how unpleasant days and tough times pass when you look at overcoming them through relaxation and meditation.

Life suddenly becomes joyful, serene, and peaceful once more.
