Balaji Focus Herbal Incense Sticks Review

Rs. 140 For 100 Grams

The numerous benefits of incense will turn any human being into an incense lover. Balaji Focus is one of those few incense sticks that made us feel a little bit more alert and focused within a few minutes of burning one of them. Balaji Focus appears to be a hand rolled herbal masala agarbatti.

Fragrance = 7 / 10

The strong and sweet scent of the Balaji Focus herbal stick is one that we truly enjoy. It would do well even as one that can be used during prayers and meditation. There is a particular incense stick of the CYCLE brand that is pretty close to the scent of the Balaji Focus and maybe we will post a review on that one later.

Potency = 6 / 10

The potency of one stick is not enough to spread outside our living room. We could smell its beautiful fragrance up to 8 feet away from where it was burning. No more.

Scent Effect = 8 / 10

The characteristic woody and sweet smell has a wonderful effect on us while we sit here and enjoy its aromas. We certainly feel a greater sense of awareness about our surroundings and find that we can concentrate better. This is a powerful stick to improve one's focus and concentration.

Longevity = 6 / 10

We have observed (and learned) that most of the incense sticks that have high potency usually also have good longevity. Things are no different with the Balaji Focus herbal sticks. The longevity of the scent is not too good and does not seem to last for more than 20 minutes after the stick has completely burned out.

Burn Time = 8 / 10

The Balaji Focus herbal stick has a magnificent burn time of 40 minutes inside our living room. This is higher compared to most incense stick brands from India and hence its high rating on this factor.

Quality = 7 / 10

The materials used in producing the Balaji Focus herbal sticks appear to be of the finest quality. However, the technique of hand rolling them in the outer masala mixture is not even on most sticks towards the end. You can see this pretty easily in the picture that we have provided for this review.

Visual Appeal = 8 / 10

The Balaji Focus herbal stick looks pretty similar to most Dhoop stick brands in India. Nothing new or different about it. In fact, it looks pretty similar to most sticks of Satya, the creators of the world famous Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa incense stick.

Gift Worthy = 9 / 10

The Balaji Focus makes a brilliant gift to young students and those who are constantly educating themselves about something or the other. It is a terrific gift to give someone who has poor concentration and is in dire need of some help to improve it. Basically, anyone who wants to focus more can be gifted this.

Packaging = 9 / 10

Both the inner and outer packaging of the Balaji Focus is better than most incense stick makers that we have tried. The masterly combination of brown and gold on the box gives it a royal, premium and rich appearance.

Value For Money = 8 / 10

The Balaji Focus is truly good value for money. Getting each incense stick for less than two rupees is outstanding. We received around 78 to 84 sticks totally in our 100 grams box.

Health Risk = Low

This is a pure herbal stick that is made of real Dhoop and other natural ingredients. Even inhaling the smoke (in moderate amounts) is not at all harmful for most adults.

Final Rating = 76 / 100

The Balaji Focus may not have received the ideal rating from both of us but it certainly is one that we find highly beneficial for daily use. Especially before starting work on important tasks and commencing long periods of meditation. A slight improvement in the even application of the masala mixture on each stick will boost its ratings by a few points in our future reviews.
